I am currently an Operations Manager for a small/medium sized company unfortunately the company are not taking the SIA regulations seriously. With that in mind and the ever increasing stress levels I am looking to return to Guarding. Can any one assist in advising what are the best organisations to approach that offer either benefits, training and/or true career progression.

If your looking for a move for the reasons you have said and your an operations manager i would pop down to my local business link to see what additional training you need then ask to see their business advisor and ask them to help you set up a meeting with a local bank and draw out a business plan start looking at your old companies clients and approach them to see if you can quote for their business after 20th of march as if you dont, someone else will.
At the moment, not many people are taking the SIA for what they are, which is the saviour of the manned guarding industy.
Look at them as if they were a surgeon who has to come in after otherwise doses of penicilin have not worked the patient will lose a leg but he will not lose his life to gangreen the industry needs fire pissers who will go out into the market and be proffesional not just talk it, but be it.
There is not one company out there that will admit that they are worse than their competition in some areas at providing the service so if you think you can do the job go and do it, you will only be appretiated.....and if there are people out there thinking who is this guy who cant spell or write a paragrapgh correctly ..
My credentials are i run the biggest independant company in the north east of england with some 310 staff i have a fully complient 5979 cat 2 monitoring station and provide services for over 600 projects and on target for 8 million this year with proffesionals from 5 major nationals working here and people crying to get into my office.
