I have had a email from SIA that i could do training before i am 18 as long as its ok with the training provider. Does a company put you intouch with the training provider and who would pay for this training if i went to a company and said would they pay for the training and said when i am 18 i would go and work for them do you think this would be ok aslong i signed a agrrement with them?

Hiya Mate,
Sorry but the SIA are wrong.
It's not that a training provider would mind, but none of the recognised awarding bodies eg: City & Guilds, NOCN/SITO etc will grant certificates to persons under 18 for the Security Industry qualifications.
I have checked this with Skills for Security and the NOCN previously.
We have had many similar requests, Sadly, we have had to turn them down.

Just to clarify this point, here is a link to the NOCN L2 Static & Patrol Qualification. It's only 2 pages but check out the last line of page 1 in bold print.
