SANTA MARIA, CA (AHN) - The guard testified Monday he caught the pop star's accuser and his brother with a bottle of wine they got after sneaking in to the ranch's wine cellar.
A maid also told the jury she saw adult magazines in a backpack she believed belonged to the accuser's brother.
Defense attornies called the employees to challenge the prosecution's claims that Jackson exposed the children to alcohol and pornography, and suggest the children found it on their own.
Security guard Shane Meredith testified Monday he found the boys in the wine cellar after they had managed to sneak in through an entrance located in the ranch arcade. They had a half-full bottle of wine in their hands. He immediately asked them to leave and described them as "shaken."
Maid Maria Gomez told the jury she once saw an adult magazine inside a backpack she believes belonged to the accuser's brother.
Gomez added the accuser's mother praised Jackson as "a blessing to them." A week later, she "started talking about being there against her will... that we should help her leave."
The defense also called witnesses who said the family showed no signs of being held against their will during visits to a spa and an orthodontist.
Skin care specialist Carol McCoy testified that during the $140 procedure, the boy's mother at no point said or did anything to indicate she was in any kind of danger or captivity.
Orthodontist Jean Lorraine Seamount was in charge of removing the childrens' braces. He noted the accuser as rude, going through drawers containing sterile items.
According to The AP, outside court, Jackson spokeswoman Raymone K. Bain said the defense expects to call CNN’s Larry King to testify Thursday. The defense is expected to ask whether attorney Larry Feldman once said during a breakfast meeting with King that the accuser’s mother made up the molestation story. |
