Do you feel that the SIA is really regulating the industry?
Are they doing enough to increase the training standard - bearing in mind that with the exception of the newly added 'confilct management' section, their 'recommended' course content has not changed for 10 years?
Has the SIA really brought 'licensing' to the attention of the public, moreover, do you feel that the service providers themselves are aware of licensing and what it entails?
Would the forming of the SIA be the prime opportunity for introducing regulated codes of practise to the industry? |

no, not yet, but then they dont profess to be.
most of its up in the air, my personal prediction/thought being that they are giving the industry a bit of time to pull itself together then at some point (hopefully soonish) they flick the switch and get it all underway... |
