The only advice that can possibly be given is to always remain on the right side of the law.........however.........this doesn't help this person at all.

In light of this posting, I would ask you all to give your opinion anonymously via the simple poll........To grass or not to grass.

Hopefully this may be of a little more help to the person above.

It must be emphasised that the results of the poll are a general view of those taking part and are not necessarily a reflection of the views of the Guild.

Yes, you should report these people. They're operating illegally, and it's people like them, who could cause the SIA fees to increase even further. And if they're working illegally, what else could they be doing illegally?

i will be hounest it has cost me as a company alot of money time and effort to ensure my staff are trained vetted and fully licened why should people illegally employ unlicenced staff at a fraction of the cost

i personally think there is no section on the SIA web site to report unbadged door staff is because there are so many people working unbadged.
i have my badge and due to renew it by January 2008(at the latest).but i do know there are so many people working without badges or even fake badges going around.the SIA do not check up so people will keep doing this.

There IS a link on the SIA site to report unbadged staff - just not one specific to door staff.

Incidentally, the SIA cannot guarantee anonymity so it's probably wiser to make any reports through Crimestoppers - they will pass on the info to the SIA.
