I must confess, this is the first I have heard of this fine system, so I'm not really able to comment on its effectiveness BUT, it does seem a bit like slapping them in the face with a wet lettuce leaf.

Personally I prefer the old 'name and shame' where shops would display the picture of offenders in their window for the community to see but sadly, legislation prohibits us from doing that now.

Hi people...new to the forum. Had a look at what trends you lot are experiencing or have experienced, and I thought...'thank god, I aint the only one whose other half hates going shopping with me!!! Im only 24, and been in the business about 4 years now...God, I love it!! I love the buzz of waiting for them to go past the point of no return, however I still say, there aint no bigger buzz than the good old runner!!! Best one I ever had, was a guy with 3 bottles of grouse down one trouser leg, and 3 bottles of JD down the other. The guy took off like the clappers, really legging it, he then turned round and started goading my colleagues giving chase, and failed to spot me heading straight towards him from the store petrol station. I was down there doing staff searches and heard the whole thing over the radio Very Happy Then there was the buzz of bringing him back to store in front of all the shoppers, the ultimate humiliation!!

Just like to say, that yes the good old push through is still alive and kicking, as is the old bust through the fire door trick! they do tend to prefer the foil lined bag up our way, however( not namedropping...) a certain store who I work for, now has self scan checkouts, basically a scrotes paradise!! u really have to have your wits about u with them things.

...On the subject of children, up here they use babies in prams and pop things like bacon, magazines and make up underneath them...that can be quite heart wrenching, knowing what sort of world the poor thing is going to grow up in.
