Welcoming the National Minimum Wage increase that guarantees, from Wednesday, £4.50 per hour for adult employees and £3.80 for 18 - 21 year olds, John Haywood, Guild of Security (UK) Ltd Director, said: 'This is great news of an above inflation increase in the minimum wage and will really benefit low paid workers. The successful implementation of the minimum wage smashes the myth that better pay and rights for employees will cost jobs and harm the economy - though it doesnt seem to stop employers scaremoungering.
