An armed gang robbed a security van outside a Hertfordshire bank on Wednesday.
Three men, two believed to be carrying handguns, threatened the guards of a Securicor van outside the HSBC bank in North Street, Bishop's Stortford.
They made off with an undisclosed sum of money in a Vauxhall Vectra which was later found abandoned nearby.
One guard was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
London accents
A Hertfordshire Police spokesman said the driver of the getaway car, who remained in the vehicle during the robbery at 1045 GMT, had been wearing a high-visibility jacket.
The other two men were white, dressed in black and wearing black balaclavas.
One is described as tall and well-built. All three had London accents.
The getaway car was found at 1255 GMT in Pleasant Road, Bishop's Stortford.
Police are appealing to any potential witnesses to contact them.
