Hospital Security Officer Stabbed

A Security Officer was stabbed during an attack at a County Down Hospital in the early hours of this morning.
The officer was on his rounds in the Radiology Department in the Dundonald Hospital at around 3am when he was attacked by a man wielding a knife.
The Security Officer suffered a puncture wound to his stomach and was treated at the scene for his injury, which was described as serious, but not life threatening, he was later discharged from hospital.
Police have said that the attacker is not believed to be a patient, but may have been a prowler. He has been described as being in his 20s, around 5' 10" in height and of medium build. He is thought to be wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with a grey hood over his head and a red and white scarf.
