A security guard was hit over the head with a baseball bat during an armed robbery at a cash machine.
The attack happened just after 1400 GMT on Tuesday as two women from Securicor were delivering money to a cash point at Parmar Stores, Mill Crescent, Kingsbury, Warwickshire.
One of two masked men hit one of the guards with a baseball bat on the back of her head and shoulders.
He forced her to hand over a cash box that contained what police said was a large amount of cash.
The man then ran to a black car parked nearby and was driven away towards Whitacre by his accomplice.
A Warwickshire Police spokesman said the guard was treated for shoulder injuries.
The empty cash box was found shortly afterwards, near to the Kingsbury Island, close to a low bridge.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
