Security Officer: Security Officer Slashed with knife
Officer Deaths and Injuries
According to the Shropshire Star a security officer was slashed with a knife by an alleged shoplifter at a Shropshire DIY store after two men had been apprehended by store staff.

The 34-year-old B&Q security officer was attacked at the store on the Telford Bridge Retail Park, Old Park. The security guard was taken to Telford's Princess Royal Hospital last night with a slash wound on his chest close to his left armpit. He was released later without needing to be kept in overnight. A 33-year-old man has been arrested and was due to be questioned later today. A second man who had been apprehended at the store managed to escape. Police spokesman Pete Simmonds said police were called to the store by the ambulance service shortly before 5.30pm yesterday after a personal attack alarm had been triggered. He added: "It appears that staff had apprehended two people and following that there was a struggle and a security guard was slashed. "This was a nasty incident where fortunately the victim did not receive life-threatening wounds. It is being dealt with as a serious incident. "A 33-year-old man has been arrested and will be questioned in relation to the incident. A second man fled the scene." Mr Simmonds said a number of police officers were dispatched to the scene and they were still appealing for anyone who may have been at the store and witnessed the incident to come forward. "It must have been quite horrifying for shoppers in the area at the time." The ambulance service confirmed a 34-year-old man was treated at the Princess Royal Hospital for knife wounds and later released.
