General News: Stefan Hey appointed Deputy Chief Executive of the BSIA
General News
The BSIA has appointed a Deputy Chief Executive as well as announcing additional changes at senior management level, following a review of operations requested by the Council of the Association.

Stefan Hay has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive of the BSIA, but will continue to have overall responsibility for SITO’s direction.

Chris Pinder is appointed Group Projects Manager, to undertake specific development work for both BSIA and SITO.
Tracy Johnson has been appointed Marketing Manager, with responsibility for BSIA and SITO marketing – with public relations and media management remaining the responsibility of Media and PR Manager Kay Wright.

Stephen Adams will leave the BSIA by mutual consent on 31st December 2004.

Commenting on the changes, BSIA Chief Executive David Dickinson said: “The Council of the Association asked the executive to review the operations of the Association to ensure that value for members was maintained and, where possible, enhanced in the changing world which we all inhabit.

“That review was completed and a ‘zero-based’ budget presented to Council at its November meeting. The review highlighted areas of overlap in provision within BSIA and SITO and the opportunity was taken to address the clear synergies within the two organisations. I would stress, however, that the individual identities of BSIA and SITO remain intact.

“I would like to extend my personal thanks to Stephen Adams for his help and support during the past two and a half years, and his contribution to the work of the Association over a much longer period and to wish him well for the future.

“We shall continue to ensure that members’ best value and the protection of their interests remain at the forefront of all our endeavours.”
